Hi Kay,
Stupid me, yes you already had written that this John Catley came from
Yorkshire but I overlooked this point in last nights e-mail.
As so much info on our tree has been handed down through the generations
(and backed up by recent research confirmation) I think it unlikely that
such an event as getting into Cambs would have been either ignored or
forgotten. However it is possible I suppose that he was a member of another
and yet unknown branch joined sometime before Stevan Catlay.
However, the same could be said of your ancestors as well as Marge's.

The clever Catley was from Yorkshire according to the entry (and as a
sizar)
apparently not
from wealth, so a very good chance he could be one of yours. I wonder if
the University
has any more info about him other than that bare bones entry.
