G'day Tim and Reg (Bonney),
Hannah Catley belongs to the Barley/ Barkway Catleys.
As you are aware Reg, Hannah Catley is the daughter of Charles Catley
baptised 29 Apr 1781 at Barkway and his wife Mary Petty. I do not
know when or where they married. He was an agricultural labourer and
I have been able to track his movements through the parish records
of his children:
Charles baptised Marcham, Berkshire 27 Dec 1807 buried Marcham 26 Feb 1809
Sarah baptised Marcham 1 Jul 1810
Hannah baptised Marcham 3 Feb 1812
Newman baptised Oxford 6 Jun 1823
From 1826 until his death in 1850 he lived at Ponders End, Middlesex
where his occupation was variously recorded as "veterinary surgeon",
"cow leech" and "cattle doctor". I understand he was recorded under
the name of Charles Cattley in the 1841 census as a "doctor of
medicine" but I have not seen the actual record.

Cheers and Thanks Liz,
First two relate to my Cattley Tree.
Most will assume that a sailing to New York will indicate an emigration. Not
so in this case as it shows record of my relatives going to the USA to join
Regards,
Mick Catley
