Dear Tim,
Yes I would like two if they turn up, provided price is not excessive.
Thanks
for your thoughtfulness.

Hello John (of the Shrewsbury Three) and et al of course,
Just to let you know that I went to the County of Salop Steam Fair
this Bank Holiday Sunday ( an annual and MUST VISIT event in my
calendar) which you will doubtless know is held at Onslow Park, just
outside Shrewsbury on the Welshpool Road.
For steam locomotion buffs, it is a great event with some 40 traction
engines from the late 1800's until the early 1900's being present,
along with some 20 steam lorries from the 1920's-30's plus over 200
vintage agricultural tractors, cars, motorcycles and lorries.
As is usual at such events there were some 150 side stall traders and
exhibitors.
Although I have attended this event for a number of years, never
before had I seen a Bottle Trader stall here but there was one this
time. The gentleman concerned is local and was most informative in
general terms, to the point where I explained about the Catley
Mineral Water Company operating a Mineral Water Plant on the site of
the Catley Abby in Lincolnshire.
As it happens he is also a genealogist and thus immediately
identified with my interest of obtaining a mineral water bottle with
my "root name" on it and has promised to help me via his "trade
links".
He has resolved to ask about and is hopeful that he will be able to
locate examples that persons will be interested to sell.
Now I know John, that you have managed to find and buy one by
yourself but it occurs to me that there could be many others "of the
Tree" out there who would also be interested in obtaining one?
If my contact is successful in locating examples, I am going to claim
the first for myself but it would be useful to know as to how many
Listers would also be interested? It would be helpful therefore if I
could let my contact know how many bottles are sought collectively?
I am not guaranteeing anything because we do not yet know how many
Catley bottles there are out there but I will know more in a couple
of months when my contact has "done the rounds".
In the meantime, if you all could let me know , I will try to keep a
collective tally.
It took John around 17 years looking to get his example so do not all
get your hopes up too soon everybody. Will keep you all briefed as
to progress.
Regards
Tim Cattley
