Hello to you Jocelyn,
Yes indeed and I set out what I have below.
Some are well established and well known lines such as The Anstey Tree and
my own Stevan Catlay.
Others give lesser depth insight of generations but as far as they go, are
reasonably intact within that time scale.
Some of the more recent discoverys of other lines have been made by
contacting "unknown Cattleys" around and about in the UK and making an
identification on the Public Record Office B/M/D's. Any of you that have
attempted this head on approach by telephone will understand the fun and
games I have had here!
As such I have been working in the 1900-1960 range and thus much of the
individual information is sensitive in the form of "living relatives" but
in
most cases backtrack to a safer circa 1850's to 1900's or
even earlier.
If anybody wants information on any of them, am quite happy to accept
individual queries by private email.
William of Leeds : b Kirk Deighton. Yorkshire. 1848 5
generations
Herbert of Wakefield : b probably Wakefield.Yks. 1865 5
generations
John of Seacroft (Leeds) m Seacroft Yks. 1820
7
generations by Emig to PA, USA.
Thomas of Escrick : m Escrick. Yks
1823
6 generations
John of Barton le Willows m Barton le Willows. Yks c1900 4
generations
Charles of Hackney : b Anstey. Herts 1854
4
generations (now joined to the main Anstey Tree)
Marmaduke of Wakefield m Wakefield. Yks 1878 5
generations
Charles of Greenwich b London cir 1810
7 generations
Edwin of Wakefield b Wakefield.Yks 1870
4
generations
James of Barley m Barley. Herts
1709 11 generations (The Anstey Tree)
Robart of Normanton m Normanton. Yks 1609 14
generations
In addition I have a bit on Emery Cat*ley of Midsomer Norton
also William Cat*ley of Farndon.
Think it correct to say that these two trees are
normally spelt as Catley, only that certain individuals on these lines
have
been recorded with the double
T.
Best wishes Timcatt
