OK, Liz, I am going for a one hit 67Y marker and get it all done in
one go.
Put me down as such will you please?
That will take care of the Stevan Catlay of Normanton Tree, roots in
W/Yorks
and a DNA sample representing a big chunk of the known Cattleys
today.
John in Telford:- yes I knew we could rely on you to represent
Lincolnshire
Catleys as we had already discussed this at the meeting with Kay H.
but
good of
you to confirm again.
Liz:-
Looks as if you have the full support of all, to act as our Administrator.
Where do we go from here?
Marge in Pennsylvania:- Is there any chance that you could get one of your
three nephews to participate? If they would, it would give us a DNA
reference
on Edmund Catley of Bilton Ainstey in Yorkshire circa 1725 which
could be
most useful indeed.
By my count we should have seven volunteers now to go to stage 2
at whatever marker level they feel comfortable with.
Liz if you need a definitive "pick up list" of volunteers, will send it, or
have
you been monitoring the names yourself?
Regards Timcatt

Subject: [CATLEY] DNA Admin
Hi All,
Obviously since Mike's CATTLEY decendancy is from a maternal line we
can't help with the DNA. I see from comments on the list
GENEALOGY-DNA(a)rootsweb.com that the concensus seems to be that the
67Y marker tests are the most reliable which makes sense. Seems, as
ever, you get what you pay for.
I heartily endorse having Liz as the co-ordinator/admin if the
project goes ahead.
Cheers.... Erica (Perth, Australia)
