Hi Kay,
No, not retired yet, that comes in May can't wait, so many things I want to
do!
That includes a more controlled approach to Cat*leyology because I have had
to snatch moments so far, between work and normal domestic applications.
Yes it is a bit of a problem attempting to keep track of what everybody is
doing but one does ones best (even if I do loose the plot from time to
time!)
My vote of thanks goes to our unsung hero Chris with his database, he is the
real coordinator, not I.
The reason why I attempt to give support to others, is because I have hit
that brick wall of no further known data as far as my own Tree is concerned
and whilst still have work to do on it by research/fleshing out on the
bones, am still hopeful that some of you also studying Yorkshire Cat*leys
will eventually be able to get back to 1600 and find a connection with my
lot.
That is one of the reasons why I am so keen on the dna testing that we are
undertaking.
Am glad to hear that Marge is in contact with you, she may be able to pass
further snippets of PA Cattley info to you as she finds them. The recent
corrections she sent to me concerned simply amendments of her ancestors name
to Cattley rather than Catley from the point where it was known to have
adopted the 2 x t spelling change.
I am still very keen to know how you have got on with your Bilton Catleys
and how your direct line fits into it all?
Best, Timcatt.

Subject: [CATLEY] well done Tim...
All your hard work is paying off, we are getting some wonderful
stuff here, and I have no idea how you are keeping track of it all -
unless you have retired, and become a full time Catleyologist....
and Liz is certainly keeping us all on our toes too.
Marge has sent me some corrections, and as soon as I have had a
chance to update my Bilton people, I will forward the updated one to you.
