Hi All,
I have looked at various sites with regards to origins of different
haplotypes. This is my theory. How do people know where we came from before
the ice age? Well I think that by collecting DNA samples and placing them on
the map of the world in groups helps them to see the bigger picture.
According to the test My dads and Johns ancestors came from the Balkens part
of Eastern Europe then they possibly came over with the Romans. John David
stems from the Anglo Saxons. None of this is pre ice age. Before the ice age
England was part of the French coastline going all the way up to Belgium and
Holland. In fact I watched a program the other day where they have found
many prehistoric bones in the North Sea which proves this point. So we could
have come from anywhere. So the more DNA samples they get then the easier it
gets to pin point and area but they must have had DNA samples from dead
people found buried over thousands of years ago to establish some sort of
area. Roots web had a site where you could look at DNA results. If you punch
in your DNA Haplotype in your browser it will give you a better idea of
where you come from. Look out for the Rootsweb one.
I hope this makes sense
John and my dad are I1B
Tim Alan and Peter are R1b1
Peter is R1B
Leonard is I
None of the sites I have looked at can pin point an exact area.
So the next best thing would be to find the area your DNA came from then
look back in time to before the ice age to find out where you could poosbly
have come from.
Please let me have your views on the matter.
