Well John,
I shall be interested to learn on an International basis if your allusion to
bicycles is understood, or, if it is only an English "village" thing!
Am sure that Liz will explain what is necessary, with reference to the FTDNA
report. It all seems double dutch I admit and my A Level GCE in Human
Biology circa 1963 did not help me to understand things either!
I am sorry to learn that we two are not cousins as I was a subscriber to the
Theory of all Cat*leys originating from a Lincolnshire source but as I said
in my last e mail, such an idea is far too neat and simple and so it has
been proven.
For the sake of the other Listers I had better explain that your reference
to the Michelin Man concerns my employment with Michelin UK.......... I
retired John at the end of April after 34 years service.
Cheers and best wishes Tim C.

Yes Tim, tis I
I am rather relieved to know that I am in fact a Catley. In my tree there
were a
number of cases of birth before wedding and it is nice to know that
my grandmothers did not have a bike.
I do not understand any of the information that has come from FTDNA but no
doubt
the list will keep me fully informed.
It seems as though I have a new cousin in Liz and I will be talking to her
in the
near future. Its a pitty that there is not connection with "the
Michelin man", but we can't expect everything can we?
I am still having Home Office problems but will spend some of this weekend
trying
to comprehend all the numbers.
God bless
John one T
