G'day Tim,
Patrick John Cattley and his son, Garry John are descendants of Henry Arthur
Catley of Cambridge. Lynda Powers is related to the family and established
contact with them several years ago. She informed me that Patrick had added
the "t" to his Catley surname. She has an interesting story to tell about
the family.
As you can see, I still have my old email address and am always pleased to
help with the Aussie lot when I can.
Regards,
Mick Catley

Subject: [CATLEY] Unknown Cat*leys in AU
Good morning everybody,
Mick or anybody else with an interest in the Australian records? :-
Am going through the Electoral Rolls looking for "unallocated Cat*leys" i.e.
those persons who I do not have identified to a specific tree currently. It
is early days yet as I still need to process 1950-1980, having covered only
1903-1949 so far.
There are some eight different Cat*ley trees involved to one degree or
another and by far the biggest in terms of individuals is without doubt the
James Catley of Barley line which includes the large sub-branch descended
from Hannah Catley.
One individual which has caught my eye, is Patrick John Cattley and his
wife/partner? Gwendoline Maisie who first appear living in Lang, NSW in 1949
and are shown in all returns up to 1980 and with a possible son Garry John
Cattley who first appears in 1977 also in Lang. I tend to associate Lang
with members of Hannah's branch of the Jas of Barley tree but not with the
double T spelling.
Anybody know anything about them and which tree they belong to please?
Mick:- If you would like a copy of E/R work when completed, please can you
update me re direct email AD?
Thank's
TimC
