Hi All,
Is there anybody researching the Somerset Norton (et al) Catley Tree who can do me an
update please?
James Thatcher Catley killed in action WW1 (12/09/1917) member of the Honourable Artillery
Company is listed in GRO births as 2/4 1887, Pancras Reg Dist. He was a son of James
Henry T. (Thatcher?) Catley who married an Annie.W.? in 1884, Clutton Reg Dist and GRO
also shows that J.H.T.Catley was born 1858 Clutton.
Where is Pancras? Is it a transcription error?
Feel sure that this all links back to Emery Catley of Somerset Norton but I do not have
sufficient info to confirm.
Glynis................Janet.................. can either of you do me an update?
Best wishes

My original conclusion was that Pancras could only refer to St Pancras, that
is why I was surprised to see in GRO that James Thatcher Catley's birth Reg
is recorded there and not in Somerset
