Hi Tim,
I have played around with it in Photoshop but can't get anything like
a good enough resolution to really make out the names. I think the
person in the bottom row, second from left is probably the CATTLEY -
at least that's what it looks like to me. I believe I can see
CATTLEY but I cannot make out the initials nor what the words
underneath say. Next to him in the bottom row seems to be a fellow
called Munro who is shown as goal so possibly the words underneath
indicate their position on the team.
The two teams seem to be placed bottom left and top right. Mr Gifford
is I believe in the top right hand corner at the bottom of that
triangle. The fact that only two names are mentioned possibly
suggests that these two are the team captains.
I've changed resolutions, sharpened it, I've blown it up, I've made
it smaller, I've looked at it with a magnifying glass, but for the
life of me I cannot make out those initials - sorry.
