Hi Liz- how are things.
I have recently subscribed for a DNA test under a Butterfield family scheme
in the States. When I get them I will forward results to you.
They probably won't be much use given my 'step' connection to the Catley
family. (You will recall my grandmother was May Catley whose father Thomas
Pratt Catley acquired the surname from his stepfather Leonard Catley who
had married his mother Charlotte Pratt, nee Bunyan before he was born) .
However if there is a DNA link we may have some interesting speculation on
Thomas's parentage!
Meanwhile Sarah and I are off on holiday to Australia for a month- I hope
to do some research whilst I am out there - my other grandmother's family
were from Melbourne/ Sydney.
Kind Regards
Nigel

Subject: [CATLEY] DNA results
Hi All,
Just to refresh everybody's memory. 9 people have taken the test so far.
Gary Leonard and Allan had a match. These are Cambridge Hertfordshire
trees.
John (my Dad) and Fredric known as John Telford are a match for
Lincolnshire and we know that Dave M is also linked to this group.
Tim and John (Marg) are linked to Yorkshire.
Peter (Glynis) is not linked to anyone yet and Alan in Canada is also not
linked to anyone.
It would be nice if we can find some new recruits so that we could help
match Peter and Alan to someone and maybe expanded there trees.
All those that have done DNA testing need to go and check out your
personal page on Familytreedna as they have added some extras in there.
Liz
