Hi Tim
I don't know whether the Benjamin Cat*ley (b.1835) who married Rebecca has
been matched up previously, but he seems to be the son of James Cattley
who
married Eleanor (I assume it's Eleanor as in the 1841 Census where I've
got
this info from it states Heleanor). James was 46 at the time of the 1841
Census and his wife was shown as 27. There are a number of siblings too.
Presumably this has all been slotted in to one of the other Trees, so
apologies if I'm stating what is already well known!!
Sharon

Hi Liz,
Do I take it that you are looking beyond Familysearch etc etc?
Am asking because that facility shows entries for three Benjamin
Catley/Catly for the period 1800-1805
1:- Benjamin b 14/09/1800 Sheffield, son of Joseph and Hannah Catley
2:- Benjamine b 01/09/1801 Hull, son of Michal and Ann Catly
whilst the
3:-Benjamine b 28/08/1801 looks to also be the same person as (2) so birth
reg 28/08 and christening as 01/09 with the same parents.
No records re Sussex Catleys for that period in Familysearch which is why
I
ask if you are referring to other records?
Kay:-
If you are back and receiving these communications, have you spotted the
Sheffield Cat*ley clues? I don't think we have looked into that City and
its surrounding parishes yet have we?
Tim
