I didn't mention at the time, but when I did my Catley search on the Lancs site
which produced a heap of Catlow/Catley entries - I was a bit surprised as I
assumed the search would be an exact match search only, hence I thought they
must have a 'phonetic/soundex' tool in use.
However, when I tried CaTTley, it returned no trace - where as on other websites
like the IGI etc., you would expect to see Catleys appearing in the results.
So do Catleys and Catlows go hand in hand in Lancashire I wonder?

Hi Dave and all,
Found this one interesting. It appears Ellen Catley/Catlow died giving birth
to son Edmund. Question is, is she a Catley or Catlow. I've never come
across that mix before.
