Thank you for the input, much appreciated.
The William Esdaile Cattley you have hit upon was the 2nd of 3 children
belonging to William Cattley of Barnet 1787 - 1835 who is the William of
Cattleya genus orchid fame.
He had his town house in Lambs Conduit St and his country one at Chipping
Barnet where he propagated his orchids.

I see someone has William Esdaile b c 1820, you might be interested in
this, spotted whilst I searched Chipping Barnett, Hertfordshire,
Baptisms:- 09 July 1819 Willaim Esdaile, son of William & Hannah Cattley,
Lambs Condiut St., London WC1 Gentleman. This street is there today near
Russell Square, just north of London's Oxford St. The film number is LDS
1537768.
