Hi Linda,
It's good to hear from you, think it is the first time, with all previous
contact coming from
Alan . Many thank's for the information from the B M & D Certificates
relating to the
Charles Cattley of Greenwich family tree members and yes the information
therein was
useful as it has given me date/month pinpoints which were missing to me
previously.
Re photograph.... presumably of Isaac? You and Alan may have missed
Erica's
request for Cat*ley photo submissions......she is looking to put together
an album for
all Listers and am sure she would appreciate a copy. You never know, we
have some
very diligent researchers on this Rootsweb net and someone like Anthony
might even >be able to identify from Isaacs uniform as to what Regiment he
served in.
As for your son working in Sydney and coming across another Cattley in the
same place
it will be interesting to learn more. There is a good chance that the lady
concerned is one >of the Normanton Cattleys as they came to Oz both direct
ex UK but also via NZ and
Canada.
Do please keep me posted on this...........Erica may have a better grasp on
whose >where down there!
Best wishes
Tim
p.s. When is Alan going to send us some more of those fantastic shots
from
space of
Mother Earth?

Hi Tim,
Not sure if you already have this information.
We have a copy of the marriage certificate of Issac Cattley farmer of the
parish of Kent. to Louisa Robson (spinster).
Isaac's fathers name is Charles Cattley, game keeper. Louisa Robson's
father
is John Robson, coachman.
Married Oct 20th, 1861 Parish church, Kent.
We have the birth certificate of Stephen James Cattley, born 18th August,
1867, Clifton Road, New Cross.
Father Issac Cattley, railway stoker.
We have the marriage certificate of Stephen Cattley, Labourer 248
Commerial
Rd. To Annie Knight (spinster) on Jan 18th, 1891.
At St Philips Church Camberwell.
We have the death certificate of Stephen James died aged 92, Feb 2nd,
1960,
52, Warwick Rd Anerley, S.E. 20 London.
Our son is working in Sydney Australia at the moment and his first day at
work noticed there is lady named Cattley working there too, same spelling.
He hasn't
had a chance to talk to her but we will keep you informed.
We do have a photo of my husbands great grandfather in a army uniform but
that is all we know about him.
Kind regards,
Linda Cattley
