Liz: Try downloading the original from 1851. It says Edinbourg (sic).
With regard to the 1857 marriage it could be convict James, last heard
of April 1855 with destination Hull. Either father or son could have
died Dec Q 1860 at Hull. Anthony

Something else puzzles me. On the 41 census it states Jane came from
Scotland. On the 51 census she was born in Hull. I have a death for a
Jane
Sept 1857 Hull and a marriage for James not long after Dec 1857 to Jane
Hannah Walker or Eliza Raine. We all know they married quick after the
wife
died because of the children being young. Could this be why I have 2
different birth places. Perhaps James married twice to Janes!!
So far for James and Jane I have Thomas, James, William, George, Andrew,
Robert and Frederick. No girls. I have descendants for Thomas Andrew and
Fredrick only so far.
