Looks like David's information confirms yours Anthony,
I am working backward's from the Catley/Fox births. Yes of course, the
Glanford John William is of interest in the long term but there is only so
much a chap can handle in one go and my immediate interest is with the one
who married Annie Fox.
This interest has been increased since getting David's input as you will
see, from my e-mail to him and Kay.
Tim

Agree about the 13 Catley/Fox births but insist the Glanford Brigg
John
William Catley married Alice Simpson. In which direction are you working?
Is John William of no interest unless married to Annie Fox? I have wife
and 3 kids from John William's service records and can find him with
parents on the census. On the other hand, if you are working backwards
from the Fox marriage you probably have the wrong John Catley. Anthony

I am working from the straight GRO's rather than Ancestry which give the
full names John William for birth 1/4 1885, Glandford and John W for
marriage 4/4 1913, Thorne..
Thereafter follows a string of 13 births all attributed to maiden name
Fox,
the first five being registered at Gainsborough and the remaining eight at
Thorne.
