The city is named after 2nd Viscount Melbourne, the 1st Viscount having acquired Melbourne
Hall in Derbyshire through marriage. At that time he was still Sir Peniston Lamb Bart of
Brocket Hall Herts. This is close to Wheathampstead where, I hasten to remind all, there
was a Catley family in the first half of the nineteenth century. Anthony

Hi Tim,
Im trying to tidy up some of my paper work, and am sure most of the
BMD's
that I have in my pile are the Melbourne Catleys. Do you have a
excel sheet
on these like you do the Anstey Catleys? If so do you think you
could let me
have a copy so I can reduce my pile if queries.
Are we still meeting up on the 7th June?
Best wishes Elaine
