Hi all,
I saw this tip on a local list. May be helpful.
1911 CENSUS - How to find missing people> > Hello all> Got
this tip
from another list about a possible way of finding "missing" people on
the 1911 Census. > > Go to the advanced search options and for Surname
just put a comma (,) nothing else, no brackets.> Then the first name/s
plus other details you have....... Place of birth, date of birth +/- 1
or 2 years for the person you are looking for. > Then a first name of
another household member you expect to find with them. Then search. >
> Amazing what using the comma can do....... I've used it and found
three "missing" ancestors that on previous searches when I have given
their surname, first names and the rest of the information above came
back as no results. Two of those were due to mistranscription and one
I could see no reason for at all as all the details were as I had
given!> > Hope this helps> Best regards>!
Cheers ... Erica
