Evening Mick,
I have often wondered what were the circumstances that resulted Charles born
1781 Barkway marry a girl from Kingswood, Berkshire and for the couple to
set up home in Marcham and then move to the Enfield/Ponders End area of
North London.
From the bmd data I have, their first child was a Charles bt
27/12/1807 but
died 26/02/1809 but they had their fifth child also bt Charles
12/10/1817 at
Marcham. This information comes from the Parish Records via Family Search
Labs - Beta list where the parents are indicated as Charles and Mary. As we
have no other records of any other Cat*leys residing in Marcham, let alone
another Charles and Mary, and given the birth years of children 1-6, Charles
2nd would seem to fit; as such I have pencilled him in as issue but I can
not find either a date of death or marriage for him.
I know that Sharon and Elaine have been doing their own research work and it
is possible that they can shed some light here.
Regards
Tim

G'day again Tim,
In my earlier reply I focused on Hannah's relationship to her parents and
her son and overlooked your record of Charles bt 12/10/1817 Marcham. I do
not have this record and I wonder if it was sourced from the Marcham
parish
register. When I looked at this register I missed the entries after 1815.
Do you know what happened to him as he does not appear as a member of
Charles and Mary's family in census records.

Mick Catley
