Hi Elaine,
Good to hear from you again, don't think we have had any contact since
Oxford 2009 !
Concerning Jessie Catley, I think you are referring to a different
person to
the Jessie Cattley I mentioned.
Jessie Catley birth GRO 3/4 1881 Stepney = Joseph of Melbourn tree
Jessie Cattley birthGRO 3/4 1885 Chorlton= Stevan of Normanton tree.
Would appreciate any bmd data you can unearth, would rather I get
duplications than nothing and miss out something by a person
assuming I
aready have it.
I do not have a specific list of unaccounted bmd's as I work from my
master
spreadsheet and anything yet unaccounted for is in standard black
font,
whilst the "knowns" are colour coded so I can easily identify
individuals.
As more information is put in, so the task of identifying the
"unknowns"
becomes easier. I can not use pivot tables nor multiple filters so
extracting things would be very time consuming.
However, please do feel free to ask me to check for specifics, I
would be
glad to help if I can.
To give you an example as to where I am with the spreadsheet so far,
I have
chosen 1864 as a random indicator :-
Births
GRO entries = 25
bir/bap by date = 12
bir in that year = 6
Total recorded for 1864 = 43
28 out of 43 identified by tree, 19 trees involved.
Known to Unknown = 65%
Thus there are 15 unaccounted births, two look to be probable
duplications.
Births in Marylebone,Lambeth and Southwark indicate more work needed
for
London, whilst births in Halstead, Barkway, Sawston and Riccall
suggest
there are still unaccounted for individuals missing from known
established
trees whilst those for Huddersfield, Ormskirk and Bury St Edmunds
could
indicate "new unknown trees" or unknown far flung branches of
established
ones.

Subject: [CATLEY] Jessie Catley
Hi Tim
I'm trying to get back into research, and am looking at the 1911
census and
pulling out Cat*leys, at the moment I am concentrating on Herts
Middx and
London.
In your message you mentioned Jessie and it rang bells from last-
night. In
1911 Jessie b1882c Middx or London is a domestic servant in Finchley.
When I have collated data I will send you additional information on
children
etc we do not have.
Do you have a list of unaccounted for B M D I can use to help
identify some
of them.
Best wishes
Elaine

Hi Glynis,
Am aware of some Catley GRO births and deaths for Chorlton in the
1880's and
also that there is an identified Cattley birth (Jessie) for 1885 who
belongs
to the Stevan of Normanton line.
However, all the others carry the Catley spelling and the assumption
is that
Anna was one of a number of siblings born in that decade.
Lancashire Catleys are still on my "to do" list and the only Lister
that I
know of who has done any work in that direction is Kay.
