The Historic Australian Newspapers site is an excellent resource and
found at
http://newspapers.nla.gov.au The great thing is that you can
correct the sometimes less than excellent OCRd text.
A search for "Catley" produced 472 results and "Cattley" 796 results.
We have The Times of London and Gale newspapers for UK, if only we
had The Times of India similarly available to help with our Indian
branch of Catleys!!

Historic Australian Newspapers updated
The Historic Australian Newspapers 1803-1954 project of the
National Library of Australia has recently added a substantial
number of newspaper images to its site. On 1st November 2009 the
first 20 years of the Sydney Morning Herald were made available and
additional issues are being added weekly. Searches of the site this
week provided access to images up to 1932 but index entries up to
1954 can be viewed with the images coming online shortly.
Other recent additions include all issues of The Argus (and
its previous title The Melbourne Argus) from 1846 -1945 and the
remaining 10 years will be added later in 2010. There are now over
1 million pages available on the site providing a treasure trove of
information for researchers.
