Am in two minds on this one Sharon,
You are probably right in that female intuition has picked up on the after
effects of a rift or some such event within this branch of the James of
Barley tree but on the other hand, if some members have gone to the trouble
of putting their tree details on Genes Reunited, then there is hope yet!

Hi Tim
I've literally just read it - still writing up my work for assessment I'm
afraid!! I was about to start looking into all this through Ancestry etc.,
but I think I'm a bit too tired to concentrate properly now, so I'm going
to
have a look at it all tomorrow.
There is definitely something 'in the closet' I feel concerning the
grandchildren of Edward Catley (WW1) because I did manage to contact
various
family members through Genes Reunited, but none of them would come back to
me with any information. There does seem to have been a bit of a family
fall
out. I might well have to try the Facebook route I think, to see if Roger
Catley's children are on there.

Hello Sharon,
All work and no play, not good!
Yes, I was surprised by Elaine's finding of this marriage and all credit
to
her. You will have read her follow up e-mail giving the dates of the eight
children of Edward and Sarah Fisher in the Stoke Newington district and
everything there looks to fit GRO births.
Looks as if there could be two sons James + Edmund who could have made
adulthood and married but no doubt Elaine is already investigating this?
Did you ever get any further with finding out about the missing
grandchildren of Edward Catley (WW1) who died of wound in 1915? Feel sure
that the answer lies in the Isle of White with Roger C Catley and his
children Michelle Louise and David Jason.
Tim
