Kay / Liz,
As you know there are certain part researched Cat*ley trees that we have records on, where
there is no contact with members, either via the List or privately.
By way of a bit of fun and to try and redress the situation, I have taken to play what I
call "Genes ReU fishing" ie looking at the matches list and comparing names
with the All Cat*ley bmd spreadsheet.
This has netted John Catley here in the UK (as opposed to disinterested American tree
members) who has generated his tree on the G/Ru system and had happily attached his line
to Robert Catley 1690 of the Stevan Catlay of Normanton tree ! He now starts his tree
with the correct Robert 1690 which is of course Robert of Garforth. Am working quietly to
see if I can squeeze a dna test out of him.
If we can get Alexis Cattley Robert of Rothwell tree to do the same, we would have a 4-way
Yorkshire Cat*ley dna comparison.
Tim
P.S. Kay, it may be worth your while making contact with John
