Whilst it may not assist you directly with searches for your correct Mark, I
notice that the Mark Catley from Riby who married Mary Millson in Laceby in
1823 had the following children :-
Ann bt 20/06/1824 Tealby
Thomas bt 31/07/1825 Tealby
William bt 23/10/1826.
You most probably know this David but thought would be best to mention, just
in case.

Subject: Re: [CATLEY] Mark CATLEY ( 1753 - ????)
.....Although the dates are a bit off would anybody be interested in a
Mark
Catley from Reighley Lincs. who was discharged in 1822 after spending 27
years with the colours including 2 in India? His records are on
Findmypast.
Anthony
I certainly would Anthony, though I don't have a Find-My-Past
subscription.
The National Archives have....
Royal Hospital Chelsea: Soldiers Service Documents WO 97/314/31

Foot Regiment Discharged aged 45 . MARK CATLEY Born REIGLEY, Lincolnshire

'Not happy with the given 'Reigley/Reighley' place-names quoted for
Lincolnshire - wonder if it might have been Riby given the notorious
Lincolnshire dialect?
As mentioned in my original posting for Mark CATLEY above, he had an elder
brother Thomas.
Thomas spent his married life at Riby, Lincs and amongst his issue he had
a
son named Mark, baptized there on 7 May 1780. A Mark Catley married Mary
Millson at Laceby, Lincs in 1823, giving his home parish as Riby, hence
presumed to be Thomas's son.
We have a Mark Catley in the 1841 census at North Willingham, Lincs aged
'60', with a Mary Catley aged '50' and an Ann Catley aged '15' -
presumed
to
be the Riby man. His job description recorded in the census was that of
'Ag
Lab'.
However, Mark died and was buried in North Willingham in 1847 aged 66 yrs.
His death notice in the Stamford Mercury described him as being a
'pensioner' and 'toll-collector'.
