A word to the wise.... the digitised West Yorkshire parish records on Ancestry are a
wonderful
thing. The ability to check the actual pages is great...however on two occasions
I have found that the actual page shown is accessed/listed under the incorrect
Church and City name.
So, in your searches if you see in the list of available records a name that looks
promising, do not be put
off because the city/town is wrong.....have a look at the digitised page/s and check that
the
details on that page look right.

Kayh- You are so right- I found two whole batches attributed to the wrong
parish in Halifax- the giveaway was that the disclosed parish did not exist
at the time of the record - it was 50+ years later before church was built
and new parish established.
