Hi there Tim,
OK you have got my attention ! Am not overly surprised with a match such as
this, but it's still exciting.
I wouldn't say that I am specialising in alternative derivations of Catley,
it started when I was looking at alternative spellings for the Horne Surrey
Catleys. I haven't done anything with that list for a long time I'm sorry,
and should send it to you. I have just looked at it and I haven't added a
single Keatley. Have you contacted the person to see if you can identify a
link. Isn't any link still quite some distance back ?
I have 2 Y37 marker distance 4 matches - Bean(e). I haven't been getting
very many email alerts about matches. I have 1331 exact 12 marker matches. I
assume you do too. They have added some nice features.
Regards
Tim

Jocelyn,
Seeing as you are specialising in researching alternative derivations of our
root Catley surname, you may be interested to learn that Familytreedna have
contacted me today informing of another Y37 marker distance 4 match that has
been found against my dna profile.
You will possibly recall that I already have one at that level which is with
a member of the Edmund Catley of Bilton line thus showing that a common
ancestor links the Stevan Catlay of Normanton tree with the Bilton clan.
This second match however sparks off some speculation as the donors surname
is :- Keatley !
Regards
Tim
