Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't think this could be my man. He
was born c1764, so I doubt he could have married quite so young!
Regards
Andrew

Hi Tim
Just to point out that the James that married Mary Ann Maggs was b
1800 so
he is out of the equation as far as James b 1757 and Mary Townsend.
There is however another James that married in 1774 but I don't know
who
to.
Has anyone got full access to Find My Past?

Hi Andrew,
Just found in my notes a James b 16/9/1753 MSN son of George b 1730 and

Hi Liz,
Can you tell me when you think this James (which one?) married Mary Ann
Maggs please? I am going on what Phil Clements (Somerset Coalfield
Connections) and Glynis have on their work, that is that James married
Mary
Ann Maggs in abt 1795 and that she died in abt 1803. Andrew confirms the
burial of Mary Ann Catley nee Maggs in 1803.
I can only assume that you have evidence of a James marrying a Mary Ann
Maggs sometime after 1820+
Tim
