Hi Tim,
Mary Ann Maggs is alive and kicking in the 51 census along with James b1800
and her daughter from previous marriage Jane Maggs b 1840. They married in
1848 her maiden name was Robbins.
So the Mary Ann buried in 1803 is not a Maggs.
Liz

Hi Liz,
Can you tell me when you think this James (which one?) married Mary Ann
Maggs please? I am going on what Phil Clements (Somerset Coalfield
Connections) and Glynis have on their work, that is that James married
Mary
Ann Maggs in abt 1795 and that she died in abt 1803. Andrew confirms the
burial of Mary Ann Catley nee Maggs in 1803.
I can only assume that you have evidence of a James marrying a Mary Ann
Maggs sometime after 1820+
Tim
