Hi Tim,
I don't know as yet who he belongs to. I only translated a few years but can
carry on and add some more as they seem to give more personal details than
death certs. I did read another article about a Captain so I will have
another look as this might be the same person. I have a feeling its
Yorkshire area.

Hi Liz,
Interesting site and lots to look at and plenty of additional supportive
info towards "unaccounted Cat*leys".
Fascinating about the Liverpool Mercury report of 1838 concerning Captain
W.H.Catley of the sailing Barque "Prince Regent" who died at Demerara (I
think this is now Georgetown, Guyana) and nephew of Captain Jas White of St
James' Place (Liverpool seemingly).
Do we have any idea as to which tree WHC belongs to?
I can not identify a W.H. Catley born circa 1811 nor a connection with the
White name except for an unlikely hit on an Edward Cattley marrying a Mary
Ann White at Stoke Newington in 1819.
To be an established Captain at age 27 seems quite young, I wonder if Uncle
Joseph had a hand in matters here?
Tim
