Hi Everyone,
Steve Chapman sent me a GEDCOM of his Frederick Ross data so I have created
some web pages for this data, though I have left the original text data
there too. I would be interested to know which version you think is
easier to deal with, and easier to understand.
I have also added a second map, this time from 1620 to 1680. The events
reported in that 60 years - about 2 generations - are pretty much the same
as for the previous 80 years, not that that proves all that much given that
the data represents events in the IGI and many events are not shown in the
IGI for various reasons. It does show the stable population in the
North of England and suggests growing and changing patterns elsewhere.
Maps such as these will only be really meaningful if we get all the data
available into Chris Newall's Events Database and then plot those over
time, which means of course the data has to come from us - from our
diggings in Parish records etc.
If you like the new web pages for "Family of William Catley and Elizabeth
Rands" then please feel free to send me your GEDCOM to add to the
pages. Please also let me know if you have your own web pages and you
would like me to
add a link to them.
Cheers...... Erica
