Hi Tim,
Beverley W A is a small country town near Perth, so William most likely came
overland or arrived at Fremantle. The reason he disappears is because he
died 17/01/1939 aged 72 in East Perth & is buried in
the Anglican section Karrakatta Cemetery section ZO plot 0180. Strangely
enough there is a birth for a William at Beverley, Nth Yorkshire Mar Q 1867
9d 92.
Whilst he is not one of mine, if you fail to get any further response I can
in a few weeks time make a trip to the cemetery & see if a headstone was
erected with more information. Some of these graves are being reused by
infilling space & headstones removed, but in this case a photo is taken of
the headstone & stored on the cemetery computer.
Regards
Derek Miller

Subject: [CATLEY] unknown Australian Cat*ley's
Does anybody have information on William Catley who first appears in the
Australian Electoral Rolls in Beverley W.AU in 1916? He is shown as a cook
by profession and also appears same place same job the following year.
The returns for 1925/'28/'31/'34/'36/and finally 1937 show him still as a
cook but then living at 69.Edward St, E/Perth after which he disappears from
the lists.
Would much like to identify which Cat*ley tree he belongs to and so if any
lister knows who he was, would much like to hear from you.
Regards
