The following information was first inspired by an online conversation
with Duke Lowe on CompuServe, circa 1995. That happened at a time when
I wasn't too thrilled with undertaking a look at the records
(transcribed, microfilmed, or otherwise) of Lancaster Co., VA. My
enthusiasm was rekindled last spring after a phone call from Margaret
Amundson when she shared the news that she would soon have a Catlett
article published in "The Virginia Genealogist." My thanks to Jean and
Duke Lowe and to Margaret Amundson for that kick in the pants. <s>
