TUESDAY, December 20, 1825.
The convention of peace, amity, commerce, and navigation, between the
United States of America and the
Federation of the Centre of America, was read the second time.
Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee on Foreign Relations, to
consider and report thereon.
Mr. Rowan, from the Committee on the District of Columbia, to whom were
referred, on the 14th instant, the
nominations of Justices of the Peace for the District of Columbia,
reported. Whereupon,
Resolved, That the Senate advise and consent to the appointments of Nathan
Luff borough, Enoch Reynolds,
Richmond Johnson, Charles H. W. Wharton, George W. P. Custis, Charles J.
Catlett, John N. Moulder, Edward
S. Lewis, James Gettys, Samuel P. Lowe, George Wise, Edmund Brooke, and
Israel Little, agreeably to their
nominations respectively.
The Senate resumed the consideration of the nomination of Rufus King,
contained in the message of the 13th
instant; and
Resolved, That they advise and consent to the appointment, agreeably to the
nomination;
The Senate resumed the consideration of the nomination of John A. King,
contained in the message of the 13th
instant; and
Resolved, That they advise and consent to the appointment, agreeably to the
nomination.
