I have a copy of that book about the Illinois Catletts, and I'll be glad to look up
anything for you next week after I return home. I work more than fulltime now, too, and my
genealogy fun time has been limited by that!

Did his (or widow's) pension file give any information in regard to his early
life (say from 1830 to 1860)?

I'd like to know more about him as well. Have you checked to see if there's
any connection between him and the other Catletts in Illinois. I believe
there was compiliaton of that branch done in the late 60's/early 70's. There
is a copy of the book at the Library of Virginia.
