I posted this in 2001 on geneology .com. I dont know if I have done it here or not.
Hi Les,
I don't know if many details or a consolidated summary of details was ever
posted to this list. I've not checked the list's archives to see. I do
recall recently finding many details posted on Genforum (
genealogy.com may be
its current owner, which is now owned by Ancestry -- ain't it sad that one
company seems to be in a monopolistic position in this niche corner of history
seeking?!?)
My impression of thoses postings at Genforum, was that you all were about to
make a breakthrough and assumed that the discussion had concluded or been
taken elsewhere (like private emails).
I don't have anything to contribute to help, at least not at this time, but
perhaps some of the others that are related to "your" set of orphans (not to
be confused with the earlier set in Guernsey/Monroe/Noble Count) will speak up
and perhaps one of you can post a summary of the "knowns" to help figure out
how to tackle the "unknowns" related to your guys.
Thanks for speaking up and welcome to the list (if I haven't welcomed you in
the past).
