Hi Pam, thanks for your lengthy reply. I may reply to it in pieces. :)

Karon,
OK, to address your questions...

As for the Thomas Madison, I re-read something Margaret wrote and
then a
following email that said, "sorry about that -- you can tell I had the
"Madison" family research on my mind." So, negate the Thomas Madison --
it
is Thomas Catlett of Lancaster. In the conclusion of her research, she wrote
the following:
"The evidence positively identifies Thomas Catlett of Lancaster County as
the husband of Frances Haslewood and therefore the father of the Thomas and
William Catlett the grandsons named by Mary Haslewood in her 1710 will. The
relationship of Thomas to the more prominent Catlett family is not known.
The solution probably lies in identifying the exact relationship of Nicholas
to the immigrant."
Thanks for the clarification of the "Madison" middle name. :) You had me
*going* for a spell!! <lol>
Ok, I found the lady that has the weird last name, shown on Rootsweb's
WorldConnect Project, no less than 27 times:
Joan LETTICO
I discovered these last month (1 December). I wrote to one of the
contributors and have not received a resonse.
If there is any ROOTSWEB WorldConnect contributor on this list, having Joan
LETTICO in their submission, please, please, please, post the source for this
name, publicly to the list or privately to me.
Joan is shown with a birth date of 1695 or "ABT 1695" and a death date of 1748
or "ABT 1748". She's shown as the wife of a William CATLETT, born same
year
as Joan with death date of 1788 in Frederick County, VA. Shows him as the son
of David CATLETT and Mary Meriwether BATHURST of Lancaster County, VA.
I ran across the Amundson article a few weeks ago while looking for something
else and now I wish I knew where my copy of the article is...other than
somewhere in this house.
Anyway thanks for the reply ... about the Madison. I'll reply to the Faquier
County part of your reply shortly.
