Hello All:
Yes, I'm home for awhile. I wish I was more active in doing my Catlett
research, but free time seems to be in short supply for me this summer. I
was able to visit my Grandfather Catlett in Nebraska this past June one
last time. We knew he didn't have much time and I had my fingers crossed
that he would still be with us by the time my planned vacation rolled
around, he was; he died a week after I saw him. I then flew back to
Nebraska for the funeral and family gathering. I saw some of my relatives
that I don't see as often as I would like. We tried to make the gathering
a happy one by using the occasion to celebrate Grandpa's long and happy
life. I was able to use the two trips to gather more family papers and
photos and I passed out a CD-ROM compilation of family photos that my
mother and I had been scanning for the past 4 years. The CDs were greatly
welcomed since they included many photos that others had never seen or
didn't have copies of their own. Afterwards I created a memorial page for
my home page in honor of my Grandfather's life.
I have also had some rather unexpected e-mails from cousins (including one
5th cousin once removed) I didn't know. They happened across my web page
and then contacted me with greetings, small chat and more information for
my pedigree charts. Always a nice surprise to have a new cousin pop out of
the e-wood work.
Peace
John

Hi Catlett List Members --
Anyone home? Anyone actively researching any CATLETT lines? Anyone have any
breakthroughs this summer?
