Hi, Ed,
Thanks for your letter. Your grandfather's letter was one of the most
welcome bits of information I have ever received, so I would be very happy
to have more of his writings. If you would mail them to me, I would be
happy to pay any expenses of copying, etc. Or can you send them by email.
Thanks.
Just returned home from WNC two days ago. Visited one sister at Cullowhee,
but drove over to see another who lives near the Biltmore Mall, and drove to
Brevard one day. I went to college there many, many years ago, so was very
close to Arden.
My name and address is:

I am Rev. Tom Erwin's oldest grandson. I have a book he wrote
with a
number of family trees included. George Cathey was by ggrandfather.
His dau. Nancy married my great grandfather Robert. Their youngest son
was Rev. Erwin. I will be glad to share what I have. Surnames is this
book are Erwin, Long, Mann, Burnette. The book is basically his lifes
history and much history of the Riverside Community of Haywood County on
the Headwaters of the Pigeon River. Same location and the famous book
by Charles Frazier, "Cold Mountain".
I will be out of town a few days--
Ed Erwin, Arden, NC
