Dear Linda, I've just seen your note to "Bob" and as I have a Cathey as an
ancestess, I'd like tosee if you might have anything on my line also. The
first I have is Sarah Cathey born in Ireland about 1697. She married Samuel
GIVENS 1718 in Antrim Co., Ire. And they were parents of 9 children...the
youngest, George, born after Sam died. Sarah married Robert ALLEN second.
Some of the spousal names given are; SITTLINGTON, REED, LEWIS, McCLURE,
STUART, & BLACK. When the family immigrated to the States, there was a
brother, James, in PA and I do not know if any were from the Rowen area or
not. I have some of the history and figured it were mine, nevertheless I
really don't know. Any Chance????? I will appreciate any help and be happy
to share that which I have. Thanks, Margrie

Hi Bob,
I have seen your message on Elizabeth Cathey and I have some in my family
line of Cathey's. All from Rowen North Carolina originally. Well, an early
Elizabeth was from Ireland. Do you have the parents of your Elizabeth?
Mine was born in 1836, and her parents were Georbe W. and Nancy Gallaher. I
have a pretty good sized database on the family. My bunch migrated to
missouri and I also have some pics of gravesites etc.
Sincerly,
Linda Owings
