Hi Jane I was looking back thru some stuff I had saved and found this and I
was wondering if these Cathey's were connected to your Cathey's or it was
just something you had found? Have you written to Boyt Cathey yet? I don't
have a scanner and to type up all the bros. and sis. of Geo. will take me a
while. ( I'm very slow) Geo. (Our Geo)(RN=9330) father was John (RN=9321)and
John's father was George Cathey (RN=9694) b1760' prob.N.C.; m. ???? d. 1840,
Long Creek(Stewart Co.) Tn.
(footnote reads) There are some indictions that this is the same person as
RN=134, son of Andrew Cathey (RN=84) The main difficulty is that RN 134 was
born much earlier than the 1760's. George Cathey(RN=9694) had a brother,
Andrew Cathey (RN=9696) who lived most of his life in Stewart County,
Tennessee. send you more later. I will try to get copies made and send so
you"ll have it all in order but this can whet your appetite
Lucille
