Mr. Chestnut,
I would very much like to participate. I did not see how to do so on the
web site you sent (of curse, I am sort of a computer illiterate). Where can
I get more information on this project?
Thank you.

Subject: [CATHER] Cather DNA Project
I have started a Cather DNA Project at FamilyTree DNA. The project
includes
all spelling variations for the surname including Cather, Cathers, Kether,
Kethers, etc. We are looking for participants from around the world. The
web site for our project is at...
http://www.familytreedna.com/public/cather/
Currently, the project is for the Y-chromosome, so we need males (females
do not have the y chromosome) with the Cather or similar surname to join
our group. If you are female, perhaps you can persuade a close male
Cather
relative to join. DNA sampling is done by swabbing your inner cheek and
only takes a minute.
Are all the Cathers around the world related or did several groups adopt
the surname independently? Perhaps we can answer this and other questions
about our Cather families. Please consider joining or supporting our
project.
Thank you,
Don Chesnut
