Mrs. Jos. C. Drake died Friday morning at her home in Union City. On
Saturday morning her remains were carried to Senoia for interment. The
funeral took place from the Baptist church, services being conducted by Dr.
Ellenwood of Atlanta and Rev. H.S. Rees of Turin. The deceased was a
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Summers who died several years ago. She is
survived by her husband and one brother Mr. Drury Summers of Opelika, Ala.,
besides a host of other relatives. She was a member of the Universalist
church near Senoia and a good woman. She had been twice married; her first
husband Mr. Morgan, having died in the Confederate service. She was past 60
years of age. We extend sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
