Elkins
John Kenneth Baker Sr., 73, of Elkins died Monday, Jan. 1, 2007. He was born
July 8, 1932, in Figure Five to David Vernon and Icy Isabelle Cates Baker.
He was a retired retail salesman, a Mason and a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his children, Doug Baker of Fayetteville, Lisa Lagard of
Dallas and Kim Kilpatrick of Prairie Grove; a sister, Alice Cahal of Reno,
Nev., and seven grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at noon
Friday at the Fayetteville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials
can be made to the Area Agency on Aging, P. O. Box 493, Fayetteville, AR
72701; or the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 103 Veteran's Way, Bella Vista, AR
77714. Cremation arrangements are by Beard's Funeral Chapel of Fayetteville.
