Thanks Charlie
I myself have been working after our move to Florida a
year ago last June.
Then last Dec. I find out that I have CMT that I
inherited through my father's, Ray McFarland, mother's
side of the family, Ettie Snodgrass, via the Carter
blood. It is not a killer disease like many others but
it is a crippler and it is progressing fairly faster
on me now at age 55 than at some that see the symptoms
at an earlier age e.g. my father and my son at the age
of 13. I am almost at the stage my father was at 55
now and I only realized I had it less than a year ago.
If any of the Cate/s married into the Hackler family
back in South Carolina, North Carolina or Tennessee
they may have had the gene passed to them also as the
Hackler Family have the gene also. But I can not
connect my Hackler branch to the CMT gene through
Susannah C. Wood. Who is my Cate connection also.
To find out more about it I have included the sites
with my signature at the bottom of this email.
Happy Hunting to All.
Sometime there is more to Genes than Genealogy.
