Hi folks,
For anyone who has already tested, please upload your results at Ysearch if
you haven't already. Very simple procedure: just go to your member page,
then to the Y-DNA matches page. In the center of the page is a box with a blue
message: _Click here to upload to
Ysearch.org. _

I would like to get everyone uploaded (Please let me know if you need
help--or if, for some reason, you do not want to be uploaded) because this is the
database that will help othrs find matches with you, as well as those who are
studying haplotypes and haplogroups and migration patterns make use of the
info. Your personal info will not be available, just your Haplotype and
whatever else you allow within the format.
I'll upload everyone next week if I don't get a negative reply from you, but
you may want to fill in details on oldest ancestor and the like. If I
upload you, you'll still have the opportunity to change your password from what
they send you...
Please note that you can now add a GEDCOM to your member info (highly
recommended!) and please consider increasing to 37 markers (if you haven't already)
for better refinement of Rutledge relationships.
Our project also welcomes mtDNA tresting if anyone wants to check their
female ancestors.
And, finally, it is now possible to add your results to a second project (no
cost). Just hit the "JOIN" button on your member page. There are several
Geographic projects going on now if your Rutledge ancestors are from, say, the
Shetland Islands, or Laurens Co SC, Scottish clans, or VA-1600s)

For anyone who hasn't tested and would like to--PLEASE DO! It's a great
Christmas gift--either for you to give someone (or yourself!) or to ask for from
someone else! Please see next message for some new info on testing...
Please feel free to write with questions. I get very busy sometimes, but
BUG me. I don't mean to ignore anyone--sometimes I just need you to be a
"squeaky wheel"
Happy Thanksgiving, all!
