Sister Mary Francis,
Thank you for your kind words, I am sorry I was so harsh
we face a good deal of prejudice and I am/we are overly sensitive
to it.
You are very kind.
Sincerely,

Subject: Re: [CATES-DNA] Indian CATES
Ki mberly, I did not mean anything by saying I do not have any ancestry to my
knowledge that is Indian.
You should be very proud of being Indian! The Indian people were treated
terrible from what I have read. We each should be proud of who we are. All
families in the early days paid the price.
Chief George is from Scotland and I am trying to find Cates' there but he is
not a Cates, as I said he is on my maternal side.
I really mean it when I say "if I were Indian I would be very proud of the
fact." My family came from England, to Virginia, to North Carolina to West
Tennessee.
I do hope you can make a connection somewhere. I can't imagine trying to
reearch my ancestry if I were you. God be with you and I mean it.
Love, Sister Mary Francis Cates
