Hi Kim,
The folks at FTDNA had a computer glitch which changed some marker values
and threw bunches of people out of the ball park. I believe that they have
it corrected at this point and the errors have been corrected. At least they
appear to have been corrected from what I can see.
Best Regards,
Bruce

Bruce,
Can you please tell me more? I participated in the study. What
documentation are you referring to?
I am sorry I have been out of the loop for a long time. would you mind
filling me in on what this means regarding
our Mdna results?
Sincerely,
Kim Lyman

Greetings all,
As many of you have noticed there have been substantive changes made in how
genetic distance is reported and calculated among the study members. Like
several of you, I think these changes appear to fly in the face of
documentation and would appear to be substantially farther a field than may
make sense.
I suspect that FTDNA has adjusted their software to reflect the current
vogue in DNA research but I have forwarded an inquiry requesting their
explanation. As soon as it is received, I will share it with all of you as
well as any questions which may still remain to be answered.
Your Cuz,
Bruce Cates
