I am related to the Cater family. My ggrandmother was Viola Cater B1903 in Texas.
Her Father James Monroe Cater B 1877 Texas?
Her mother Mary louvinie Medlock B 1887 Alabama?
Does any of this fit in with the Cater bible. I am at a stanstill with my Cater's.
Hope to hear from you.

Viola Cater is my greaatgranddmother.
She was born 27 July 1903, I have a copy of her birth certificate. How did you find the
information on te dawes roll?
My grandmother Viola's daughter always told me we were part Cherokee and part Chactaw,
but I could never prove it. Viola married William Edmond Fisher around 1919. Do you have
any other information? I am at a brickwall with my cater side. Any help would be
appreciated. I have info on Cater/Fisher's up to te present . Would be happy to share
info.

I should wish I could help you, The information that you gave doesn't fit with this
Bible. However, don't give up hope. DNA evidence will one day make it very easy for us
to tie these Cater's together.
